Radiology

The Radiology Department at Noxubee Medical Complex strives to provide prompt, efficient, and professional diagnostic radiological services to all patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and diseases. The services we provide include routine radiology (X-Ray), CT examinations, Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) studies, ultrasound, and mobile MRI services every Wednesday.  A physician order is required for all radiology procedures.  Let the kind and knowledgeable staff at NMC Radiology take care of all of your diagnostic imaging needs!

Laboratory

Our Clinical Laboratory has an up-to-date menu offering to diagnose disease as well as monitor wellness in our patient population. In-house lab departments include chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, and toxicology. We utilize reference labs for any tests not performed on site. We can accept an order from any physician, not just local providers, and we will send the results securely to your provider. Respiratory Therapy

Our Respiratory Therapy department is staffed by licensed respiratory care practitioners and treats respiratory illnesses such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and many other respiratory ailments. The diagnostic procedures we provide are EKG, Holter Monitoring, Arterial Blood Testing, and Pulmonary Function Studies. The Respiratory team at NMC is committed to helping you get well and stay well by offering the tools and information to keep your heart & lungs strong!

Intravenous Drip

Infusion

Some illnesses cannot be treated with oral medication. The Outpatient Infusion Center located conveniently inside of Noxubee General Hospital offers Infusion Therapy, as an alternative. Infusion therapy is giving medication directly into the veins through an intravenous catheter (IV), PICC line, or central line. Our staff is exceptionally trained and dedicated to making your experience both comfortable and cost effective. We provide treatments such as Prolia for osteoporosis, Xolair for asthma, Actemra and Embrel for rheumatoid arthristis, Infed for anemia, Repatha for hyperlipidemia, and IVIG. Give us a call today at 662-788-4394. We will work with your provider and you can have your infusions right here in Macon!

NMC rehab services are dedicated to staffing the highest quality therapists and using state-of-the-art equipment to focus on delivering quality clinical results. In providing our services, we aim to be highly encouraging to all clients to reach and maintain the best level of functional outcome.

An essential part of any rehabilitation program is Physical Therapy. Physical Therapists seek to restore strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and function following injury, surgery, illness, or disease.

Occupational Therapy

Managing day-to-day activities is a major goal with all of our plans, and our Occupational Therapy program. Occupational Therapy focuses on mastering the essential activities of daily living, returning individuals to their highest potential and developing skills to help patients become self-sufficient.

Speech Therapy Session

Speech Therapy

Our Speech Therapy program offers services aimed at restoring communication abilities. An individual treatment program is developed to meet the specific needs of each patient. This program also targets the treatment of swallowing and eating disorders.

Restorations (IOP)

Restorations is an intensive outpatient program that provides an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to helping senior citizens meet the challenges of aging. Our day program provides individualized care in a warm, supportive atmosphere to treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem as well as other factors associated with the stresses involved with the changing physical and mental abilities of aging. Restorations provides group and/or individual therapy, a Psychiatrist, continual plan of care, daily transportation within Noxubee County, and lunch. Physician referral not required. Wound Clinic

The Noxubee Medical Complex Wound Clinic offers a comprehensive quality approach to healing and providing state-of-the-art clinical services to patients with non-healing wounds every Tuesday.


Our team treats patients with non-healing wounds that require an advanced level of care. Wounds typically treated at the clinic include those that are chronic and especially difficult to heal, such as diabetic, venous and pressure ulcers. 


Our center treats the following conditions:



  • Diabetic ulcers

  • Venous ulcers

  • Pressure injuries/ulcers

  • Surgical wounds

  • Traumatic wounds

  • Arterial ulcers

  • Radiation wounds

  • Compromised skin grafts and flaps

  • Other non-healing wounds
